Proof has worked with Montclair Kimberley Academy and Texas Lutheran University to migrate their mission critical FileMaker databases from FMP6 to FMP9. These projects were undertaken with several key goals in mind, none more important than preserving all of the features and functionality into which both institutions have invested so much energy and money over the past years.
We are excited about how efficiently and effectively we were able to migrate hundreds of files and hundreds of thousands of records. MKA and TLU were able to preserve all of their fields, layouts, letters and reports, and are now in a position to take advantage of the new features that FMP9 offers. Already, Proof has been able to help optimize network performance and simplify security.
The migration also gave them the ability to make use of new modules, like fmSpark, that provide functionality that was not present or even possible in their solutions before migration.
Keep an eye out for in depth profiles of these projects in the weeks to come.
