fmSpark Featured in FileMaker DevCon Keynote Address

Wow. That was cool... This morning Andy Lecates, the Systems Engineer Manager for FileMaker, Inc., featured fmSpark among a handful of great examples of the cool things that can be done with FileMaker 9 during his portion of the opening keynote address. He spent several minutes showing off how fmSpark can be used to create and send an HTML email, save templates, and manage recipients. Andy then gave a tour "under the hood" to show the organization of the solution and how it is made to bolt on to existing solutions, calling it an "object lesson in modular development." Andy closed his fmSpark demo saying that, "we should expect no less from our friends Cornelius, Mike and Ernest."

Needless to say, it was flattering and immensly rewarding to see our work up on the 5 big screens being projected to the 1,500 or so people in attendance. In so many ways, this is the audience that we developed fmSpark for, so we are hopeful that this will help get the word abut fmSpark out. What a great way to kick off DevCon for Proof!

As part of his address, Andy also highlighted the very cool Web Services Plug-in that Vince Menanno at FMNexus has developed and moved to version 2, as well as the knockout job that our friend John Sindelar from SeedCode did with his Lightbox preview for his Year in Review session at DevCon, which he calls "a fast paced survey of the coolest FileMaker work from the past year."
